LifeCycles- 2016 Annual General Meeting
Join us for our Annual General Meeting! You’ll get to learn what we’ve accomplished this past year, including highlights from our program Staff, and more on what we’re planning for the coming season. Our AGM is a great opportunity to meet our Staff and Board, and find out about getting involved in our projects!
Seeking New Board Members
Interested in joining our Board of Directors? We are currently recruiting new board members, searching in particular for folks with HR, Marketing and Fundraising experience. Previous board and non-profit experience would also be a great asset. Anyone who is interested in joining our Board should contact our current Board Chair Jesse at [email protected].
Guest Speaker
This year, we’re grateful to have Virginie Lavallée-Picard, the City of Victoria’s new Food Systems Coordinator, as our AGM guest speaker! As an organic farmer, researcher and active participant in food systems work nationally, regionally, and municipally, Virginie will be speaking to the role of municipalities in shaping food systems policy and strengthening regional food systems.
When: 2 – 4 p.m., Saturday June 11th, 2016
Where: Fernwood Community Centre, Multi-purpose room. 1240 Gladstone Avenue.
Snacks provided! Schedule and accessibility details will be posted shortly. Our AGM is a free event, though we welcome any donations, which will go directly into our projects that work to enhance local biodiversity and ecosystems while strengthening community connections, feeding vulnerable populations and building regional capacity.
We hope you join us! Please send any inquiries about our AGM to [email protected] or call our office at 250-383-5800.
