Creating Native Plant & Pollinator Gardens Workshop

Come and learn how to support local pollinators, insects and your community with your garden by working with plants native to Southern Vancouver Island. This workshop will cover an introduction to the co-evolution of plants and animals, identification of a variety of native plants, choosing the right plant for the right place, planning your pollinator garden, specific considerations for working with native plants and a conversation about how to use your gardening work to better support indigenous lead restoration efforts. Plus get hands on experience propagating native plants and leave the workshop with some seeds and/or plants to get you started!
