WE DID IT! Thank you for helping us reach our $5000 goal!
It was a nail biting campaign, and we were thrilled when the final donation that brought us to our goal came with just minutes to spare. With the $5000 raised we can feed 17,000 folks with fresh Fruit Tree Project harvest, repair and replace some of our picking equipment, and continue to share the local abundance.
The crowdfunding experience really expanded the Lifecycles community. We received heartfelt testimonials from various volunteers, including a volunteer newcomer to Victoria, InclusionWorks Saanich, Shelbourne Community Kitchen, and more. We live-tweeted the Eat, Think, Vote all-candidates’ debate and learned more about what our candidates’ think about food security matters. We went on a fruit pick covered by CTV Vancouver Island news, and so much more.
We’d like to thank our crowdfunding partners Murray Rankin and his office, Spinnakers Brewpub, and GRAFT Victoria for providing the wonderful prizes we will be distributing to some of our donors. Thank yous must also go to those wonderful organizations and individuals who helped broadcast our crowdfunding message on Facebook and Twitter.
Most importantly, however, thank you to the donors who contributed online, in cash offline, and mailed in donations – it wouldn’t have been a success without you!
