SUMMARY:Welland Orchard Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:This is a call out to all Welland volunteers who are interested in doing some weeding and winter clean up at the Orchard! \nNow that we’ve had a some rain\, it’s going to be easier to get some of those pesky weeds out of the ground! \nWe will be mainly focusing on the weeds and grasses that won’t be beneficial to creating a healthy root and mycelium (mushroom) network in the wood chipped areas around the trees. (We will go into some more information and reasons for this the day of!)  But we will also be weed hunting everywhere eventually! \nIn addition to weeding\, there are some specific trees we are looking to remove the leaves from that have fallen on the ground to help stop the spread of certain spores! So some raking and wheel barrowing will be needed as well! \nKeep this in mind when thinking of signing up for this shift and be prepared to help RAIN or SHINE! Come layered up and ready for the weather! \nSign up for the shift on the Gleaning Hub! \n
