Join the LifeCycles’ Growing Schools education team for an exciting summer camp program filled with outdoor fun and adventure!  Experience the magical world of gardening and food by exploring, playing, and creating within one school garden. We are offering two one-week camps, each highlighting unique and engaging themes around native pollinators, cross-cultural food practices, fruit trees, and seed saving. All camps will include fun, hands-on activities, craft-making, music, and games on growing, harvesting, and cooking with garden produce! Rain or shine, come celebrate the summer with us by planting seeds of wonder, learning about environmental stewardship, and feasting on the abundant harvest.


Wild about Native Pollinators Camp

Who: Ages 7 – 12

Dates: July 8th – 12th @ Quadra Elementary

Time: 9:00 am – 12:30pm

Cost: $140.00 per camp

Description: Campers will be buzzing with excitement during this fun-filled week that focuses on the fascinating lives of native pollinators. Investigate local bees, butterflies, and bats through interactive games, crafts, and projects that explore why pollinators are so important to our ecosystems. Together we will plant pollinator-friendly gardens, make bee hotels, and learn how to identify these bee-sy creatures who take care of our garden.

Orchard Kids Camp

Who: Ages 7 – 12

Dates: August 12th – 16th @ Quadra Elementary

Time: 9:00 am – 12:30 pm

Cost: $140.00 per camp

Description: Apples, cherries, and pears… oh my! Enjoy the fruit season with this deliciously themed camp that will provide opportunities for campers to “bite into” summer with games, activities, and a field trip to Welland Community orchard. Campers will have a blast engaging in fruit tree harvesting and care, as well as making apple sauce, juice, and other healthy snacks from locally harvested fruit!



In the case that we need to cancel one of the camps, we will notify you no later than 10 days before the starting date. We will try our best to find an alternative camp for your camper to attend. If the alternative camps/dates does not work for your family, we will provide a full refund.

If one of the camps or camp days need to be cancelled at the last minute because of severe weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, we will provide optional days your camper can attend to make up for the days that were missed. If the alternative sessions does not work for your family, we will provide a refund for those select days.


If you need to cancel your registration, refunds are available as follows:

  • If you cancel by June 24th: 100% refund

  • Between June 24th and 1 week before the start of camp session: 50% refund

  • Less than 1 week before camp session: No refund. *However, If we can fill your spot within that time, we will issue a 100% refund

  • No refunds will be issued if your camper misses days during the week.

If you would prefer to change weeks, let us know at least one week before the start date and we will try our best to move your camper into an alternative camp.
