Although food is one of the vital sustaining elements of human life, many Canadians are unaware of our daily engagement the food system. Semilla a Mesa is a learning resource toolkit that explores the global food system and the social, environmental, and economic impacts of where our food comes from. The lessons and activities are participatory-based, designed to be interactive, highlighting discussion, simulation, and mapping skills. Semilla a Mesa meets BC IRP (Integrated Resource Plan) curriculum objectives and has applicability nationwide.
