Thanks for your help!

In the fall of 2001, the Bee project did a survey with bee box owners to determine how many bees are currently occupying the 100 LifeCycles bee condos. Out of the 15,000 nesting spaces that have been made available around the Greater Victoria area, nearly half of them are full! This means that in May of 2002, there will be about 7,500 new bees leaving the condos to pollinate our local gardens.

As long as the city continues to decrease pesticide use, our population numbers will go up dramatically every year.

This tremendous achievement would not have been possible without the help of Greater Victoria residents and organizations. Several community groups and individuals showed great enthusiasm in helping bees like me. I would especially like to thank all of the people who purchased bee condos and seed packs from LifeCycles. All of you have helped to make Victoria a safer and happier place for me to live!
