Getting Involved

How do schools get involved?

The Growing Schools Program encourages and supports each schools looking for help in creating a garden project.

Our funders provide a certain number of schools with our hands-on consultation and programming each year. Contact the Program Manager to find out about our school partnership availability.

We are always available to answer questions, provide resources and over the phone or by email to help get your garden project off the ground and ensure its long-term successes. Contact growingschools@lifecyclesproject.ca

How do volunteers get involved?

Our in-classroom programming depends on the role of the Volunteer Educators. Get involved! Get trained in organic agriculture, environmental issues, and educating children. Our program provides complete training for volunteer educators and offers an opportunity to teach in the classroom and in the garden on the school grounds.

This could be a great asset for your resume, future work experience or University schooling. Get involved by filling out a Growing Schools Program Volunteer Application Form. We recruit our volunteer educators in September and in March. Apply early to ensure your spot.

Our program also offers the opportunity for Practicum students and Interns to get involved in our work and school programming. Please contact the Growing Schools Program Manager for more information - growingschools@lifecyclesproject.ca
